Open call with Me and My Big Ideas

Something so interesting happened when I used my MAMBI planner as a faith journal at the beginning of August. I finally understood the value of that daily accountability. And that translated into journaling in my bible.

So I want to join in on the fun and apply to be on the MAMBI team. I have been documenting memories in planners for many years:

And I love pocket pages and pocket cards in a variety of ways:

My family loves it when I craft them a handmade card:

Good things come to those who wait. ; )

a latte love,

Art Journaling in my Bible

I have always been curious about art journaling. I love water colors and acrylics, and even my own naive drawings but found that I had little inspiration or motivation when staring at a blank journal. Then in late 2014 I saw a blog/IG post by Shanna Noel. She had fused art journaling and a faith based inspiration right in the margins of her bible. A HA!

I found a verse that supported my "one little word" for the year. I used some letter stickers and a rub on right in the margin in my bible and placed a little tab on the side. Wow! My heart was hooked!

I thought I would share what a completed books of the Bible looks like. By following an online bible devotional, I journaled through 1&2 Timothy. It has a variety of styles of journaling. That works for me.

I had many studious inductive study notes in 2 Timothy already in the margins, so I included a mini folder to hold highlighted passages.
I was created to create. This is a good thing for my heart and soul.

Mid-year Memory Planner Update

This coil bound heavy duty calendar with prompt pages and pocket pages has been a perfect fit for my scrapbooking needs this year. I did start looking for themes to follow for #onelittlethingeveryday prompts and photo focus, but decided this memory planner was for me and could focus on notes and photos that I adore.

Now the photo heavy section so you can see how I've enjoyed this memory keeping tool.

Cover and interior title page:

January is when I tried the theme of family:

February of course is all about the love:

March:

April:

May:

And June:

And finally brilliant July:

August will be about the places we go camping and a new school to teach at.

For more information and a quick video check out Heidi Swapp's website. There are many great samples on Instagram at #hsmemoryplanner and #memoryplanner.

Enjoy August and the rest of the year.
