tag garland
I have made two of the tags for a mantel garland. And taking a cue from my envelope garland I will proably add cute little stockings and colored flags in the mix. Thanks for the challenge to add in a little homemade to the commercialism of Christmas.
Pocket challenge with a cute garland
I do love pockets made from envelopes. So to jazz up this cream envelope I added a super cute garland. It is made from a rub-on garland (Dear Lizzy), stocking stickers and coordinating larger flags I cut from paper. It will probably hold my family's comments on the Christmas season or their wish lists.
Big Prints cut down to size
I tried the challenge of cutting out a flower or other item from a paper and use it in a design . I created a 4x8 journalling page and a tag that used a large print poinsetta andd a large print holly and berries. Thanks for another great challenge.
Journal Your Christmas Preparation
I went for the 8x8 size as i can add in the 6x6 or a card pocket page cut down or a 5x7 - what ever strikes my fancy at the time. But most imporatntly I have create 4x8 pages for days that are just journalling. I have found when I tried other daily Dcember projects I didn't have enough pictures for some days -hence the focus on journalling this year. I found this "Dear Lizzy" product in the sale bin and scooped it up as it contains my happy colors: aqua, dark green, light green, and raspberry. To find them in a Christmas collection is some Christmas magic.

You + Me = Bliss
This is the "starting point" challenge. This is the starting point...
I love shimelle's sketchs and starting points as I have many similiar things on hand in my stash. The one switch I made was to use the black as a cardstock frame only, and I added the cream rectangle, Authentique. It has blue smudges in the design.
Here is the completd page:

Cheesy Layout
This layout came together easily for Shimelle's "Start Here" challenge. I love the paper strips on the side anchored by the horizintal panel. Adding embellishments is so easy as well. Even tried the hipstamatic picture in a 4x6 format. Have a cheesy day!

Using the blog for what it was made for..
I created this blog so I would have a place to post my page entries. The weekend was full of great ideas and challenges over at Shimelle.com, but I only have created today's challenge, as I had everything handy to create the page. After seeing it a few times, I took the plunge and painted a frame.
Thanks for the great challenge.
