I Love Mason Jars

A certain Canadian brand of mason jar seals became unavailable - Gem - and my grandmother decided she could part with them. I immediately put them to work as tealight holders on a shelf above my bed. Extremely sweet and romantic when all lit, but dust bunny central every other moment. Disassembled. When mason jars became an embellishment for scrapbooking,  I was delighted. I couldn't really find a symbolic meaning online, but to me they represent
home-made love and nostalgia.

I try to use the stash I have of them regularly and use my digital stamp version when I remember it.

Used the digital stamp and mists to create Project Life albums insets.

Used the chipboard jars back to back to create a "peek a boo" space within my Project Life album.
Of course my favorite way I have used the mason jars is for a title page for my extended family album. I used the jars in a banner by wrapping some fine string around the tops.

Love the mason jar? Used it as a fabulous embellishment? Let me know :)

Portfolio Album

After the arrival of  Heidi Swapp products to Michaels , I switched my Project Life pages into the Heidi Swapp Portfolio album. It's a fun 6x9 size. At this point I know I will need three albums to house the year, even using the flattest of embellishments.

Heidi Swapp Love

There is something about Heidi Swapp which makes her so endearing. Therefore, I am sincerely loyal to buying and adoring her scrapbook products. So when her products became available at Michaels, I was all over it.

A Year of Sundays

I came across the notion of Phenology: The study of cyclic and seasonal natural phenomena, esp. in relation to climate and plant and animal life, or in my case, my family.
I translated this notion into " A Year of Sundays". I record the happenings of every Sunday to see the breadth of our year and  be able to track changes that occur in our schedule and family life. This is the first 3 cards into my Project Life album:

Project Life Update

Project life is one of those ideas that are simple and easily sustained. But I chose to make my albums a smaller size. I started out in a  Snap album:
